This is a great inexpensive gift for any Studio Ghibli fan! The colors are spot on and the canvas is nice and thick. The instructions have a couple translation errors but nothing that really hinders what to do. I love it.

I like the quality of the wood in this kit. I’m using it to mount a craft picture made with acrylic pieces glued to a pattern. Unfortunately, the frame size I ordered was the picture size and wound up being too large by only a fraction of an inch on the last two pieces when I tried to join and finish the frame. These “diamond paintings†don’t have a lot of extra material to wrap around the frame and I don’t want to make them smaller by wrapping part of the actual picture around the frame for fear of the pieces popping off the picture. You can see by the attached photo, it’s edge to edge. My husband did manage to sand down the edges to make them fit and I’m satisfied with the result. I will definitely order again because the product overall is a quality item.

I bought these brushes to start painting 28mm miniatures. I have other brush sets with a few detail brushes but I wanted a dedicated fine detail set. These brushes have a nice weight to them, and the ergonomic handles made for a comfortable painting session. The plastic case and soft drawstring bag are a nice touch. Overall I’m very happy with this purchase and I’m sure I’ll get a lot of use out of these brushes.

I’ve loved doing this—whimsical design, great color variety, but it definitely is not for young children. As another reviewer said, there are some very small areas that are difficult to do with the brushes provided. I had to paint over some areas a few times to fix mistakes or to hide the numbers. This was a gift and a huge hit with me—I hadn’t done one since I was a kid and found it to be so relaxing. I would highly recommend for anyone over 11.

This worked great! I ended up just putting the frame together after peeling off the bottom of each bar (instruction #2). The sticky tape wraps around the ends of each bar, so they stuck together to hold the frame in place.
I centered the picture as best I could (picture facing me) and folded the edges of the picture on the sticky parts along the length of the frame.
I tried following the instructions, but I kept messing up the picture (too far left, too far right, etc. because you needed to have the picture facing the floor). This way I could see where I was placing the picture and just fold the edges onto the sticky tape.
I didn’t cut anything either – I just tucked the corners in and put a little piece of tape to hold them down. I didn’t have enough canvas to peel the sticky tape along the back side of the frame (instruction #5) so I left them on.
I used two command strips to hang it on my wall – I’ll be ordering more!

I ordered three of these, and absolutely love every single one of them. The company was great and responsive, gave me a preview before sending them, and even helped resolve a shipping issue. The actual paintings were not the easiest to do, hence all the detail on them. I took my time and they turned out exactly like the photo I sent and the preview they gave me. The colors were perfect, and there was more than enough paint (I had doubts about this but I had plenty leftover). I will absolutely buy more of these on the future and cannot wait to be able to do more. Fyi I coated one of the paintings with resin so it is much more shiny than the others.

I’m halfway done with my painting now. The painting is beautiful, and I love how easily the paint spreads on the canvas. This is my third adult paint by numbers kit, and the quality of the paint and canvas is identical to the other two I’ve done. This brand is better than one of the other brands at making sure areas are clearly marked, and that there are numbers on almost all the blank spots. One of the other brands I tried I had to stop partway through because they forgot numbers on parts. This one brand did not have that problem!

I had a canvas painting without frame. Followed the instructions (carefully). It works great. The canvas stretched very nicely. (I also lightly misted the back of the canvas with water and used a blow dryer to further tighten the fabric. Just a blow dryer can warm canvases and help tighten the fabric.) The second time will be even easier! You need to use some sort of ‘square’ on the inside corners to aid the assembly. The easiest is to cut poster board to the exact size of frame, and use it as a guide. Either way it works great!

So excited to get started on this! The canvas was rolled, so you’ll need something to weight the corners down until it flattens. The instructions are very helpful. This painting is pretty detailed and there are a lot of small areas, but it seems like it would be a fun small project that will take some time.
