Get your Zen on,This was my first paint by numbers. Very different from what I remember from childhood! It was very relaxing and engrossing- I lost track of time as I painted. Loved the finished product so much I had it professionally framed and hung it in my room. One star off for some paints that were a bit dry and not having a gridded map to refer to when the numbers were not clear (so many tiny areas made up the tree, it was easy to lose sight of some of the pattern). I have started on my second painting- paint is all smooth and the grid has proven really helpful. Will definitely do more.

They come w/ a “legend” or a “paper copy” w/ the numbers incase you color over a number and need to figure out your mistake. WELL GUESS WHAT I DID! I took that opportunity to create myself a side project and I opted to use the “paper copy” to color w/ color pencils and boy oh boy have I enjoyed myself! Although the results were good, ironing out deep creases in folded canvas and stretching onto stretcher bars was a bit difficult. Used 16†x 19†bars. Due to small amount of extra fabric. Numbers very small, but not unusual I am finding. One or two paints were so thin that areas needed 4-5 coats to cover numbers. Love final product despite challenges.

Really cool painting! The reference picture colors aren’t the same as the ones that come with the set but the numbers were fairly simple to read and the final product is really neat. I did get new colors for the background, though, because I didnt like the ones it came with. Overall I had a great experience working on it.

This is a very good product, the various pieces went together very well. However, the four clips were all glued together and it looked like just one
piece. It was necessary to separate the four clips using a chisel. The instructions did not mention the four clips or the fact that they must be separated.

Very detailed so be prepared! I’m writing this review only to help others because some of the colors are off. Most noticeably… the blue #3 is much too bright a blue and I should have added black to tone it down and darken it. The charcoal #6 needed lightening because it was too close to the black and didn’t stand out. The blue #5 also needed lightening and I had to adjust a few others to either make them stand out or tone them down. Wish I had known this before painting half the picture and then realizing I needed to go back and repaint some of it. Ran out of black #12 and came close to running out of the charcoal and blue #5 but realized this half way through and made sure to use every bit on my brush and apply as thin a coat as possible. I needed a magnifying glass to read some of the numbers and some spots are missing numbers so I had to look at the picture and take a guess. In the end, it turned out pretty nice but I’m not too happy with the color of that bright blue #3. I would have fixed it but it was just too much trouble to go back and repaint.

I purchased this item for a friend’s birthday. It was a photo of her dog and the end result was very life-like. Sorry I didn’t take a photo of the end result. Took about two weeks to complete. Delivery was timely. I will be ordering more of these for Christmas presents. I did purchase an additional set of paint brushes from Amazon that were a little better quality than the ones that came with the kit, but overall, I’m very happy with this product.

I have to admit that I ordered this, mistakenly thinking it was a diamond painting project. I asked my daughter, who is far more of a skilled painter than I am, to help. She and I have been working on this for a few weeks now (an hour here, 30 minutes there) and we haven’t been able to get as far as I would have liked.
The numbers are easy to read but the lighter paint colors won’t cover the lines or numbers without several coats. With the small amount of pain given for each color, I worry we will run out of a few colors before finishing.
Some of the areas to be painted are very small and it will take precision brushes to do justice to the painting. With darker colors surrounding the very small spaces, it is difficult to keep from painting over them completing. If I pain the dark outer areas first, I often can’t read the numbers for the tiny spaces.
This is a beautiful project and I feel awful for not being able to do it justice.
I recommend this paint by numbers kit for those who have a lot of experience with painting and/or paint by number kits.

Simple and effective way to display art printed on fabric such as fleece or Minky. I use nearly an entire yard 36″ by 54″ but I was fortunate in advance that I had printed a large border around the art and this allowed me to use 32″ by 48″ Frame Kit and have a couple inches left over on the long side to trim off. I recommend making sure there is enough room to lay the art face down without getting it damage and to be able to maneuver around the work would have helped. I just used a bed and because of the looseness of the surface and therefore art, I had to loosen one side of the art from the frame and pull it taut and then reattach it. I can see where a less porous surface as fleece cloth where this might be really stuck and cause a problem. The glue was just right to let go and then attach again and press firmly to seal. It ended up tight with the frame light and the system of tape held it remarkably square. I also had the problem I read mentioned of the staple corner braces stuck together, but was able to separate them without harming myself. I also it’s important to know which way the bars go, which should be obvious if paying attention and that is wide sticky tape down and more narrow sticky tape facing the outside of work area. The only thing not perfect with finished was I had cut one corner too close to the frame that is to go between the corner and this exposed one corner of the frame. I repaired it by spliced some of my cut material on that spot and it’s not very noticeable .
