It really takes my active mind off things,I bought this one to paint for my mom. She is the cat fan. I really enjoyed doing it as the spaces were never monopolized by one color which can make a paint by number activity pretty boring. I changed the colors of the eyes to make them really pop because the paint that was included wasn’t as bright as what the original picture had shown but overall I was happy with the quality of the paints and brushes that were included. The paint was mixed well and went on the canvas smoothly.

Pleasantly surprised!,I was expecting a fun, relaxing activity primarily, and secondarily, maybe something nice enough to display somewhere. But the quality of the materials is amazing! It’s a beautiful canvas, not merely paper. The brush sizes are fantastic. The paint is great quality and has high coverage. I do not have the issue with translucency the other reviewer mentioned. The only time you can see lines and numbers through is when you’ve applied too thin of a layer or if you accidentally dilute the paint with water. I’ll be happy to hang this in my home or office once it’s completed.

I am only about 1/4 of the way through painting the Giraffe, but already I am in love. We bought this one along with the Lion and Elephant, all frameless, to go in our sons room. I am so excited to see how they look on the wall!
TIP: The canvas comes folded and in a package with the paints and brushes. As soon as ours came in the mail, we took the canvases’ out of the packages, unfolded them, smoothed them flat slightly by hand, then rolled them together into a tube, and finally secured the tube with a rubber band. When we were finally at a place where we could start on them, just being in the tube together for a couple of weeks helped get most of the creases out immensely. For good measure though, we ironed them. We put the canvases pattern side down between two towels, sprayed the back of the canvas lightly with water, and started on the lowest setting on our iron. We ended up having to turn it up to around medium heat to see any real change, but that was enough to flatten out the canvases nicely. Then, we bought some 20×20 squares of cheap (like $2 ea.) non-wood type wood boards (the same stuff as clipboards kind of) at Lowes, and that’s what we use to paint on. We just use binder clips to hold it in place. It works beautifully!

I bought a canvas on the street in Colombia for $5 expecting that I’d have to pay $300 to frame it. This product is so easy to use perfectly stretched my canvas. I had to use a hammer to really insert the staples at the corners. Otherwise, tools aren’t even necessary. Now I’m waiting for my canvas floating frame to arrive to mount the artwork! Though, could easily hang on the wall without a frame, as is.

The presentation of these brushes is very good. Personally I didn’t realize that a couple of them were as large as they are and they served as being redundant in the scheme of my larger collection of brushes. That said they all definitely serve a use and it’s a really good collection of detail brushes. They also come in a nice cloth pouch inside of the plastic tube you get them initially packaged in.

I’ve seen people do this as a fun quarantine activity and wanted to try it out myself. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality! The paint brushes were high quality and the perfect size to fill in all the spaces precisely. The paint was also good and there was more than enough to finish the whole painting, plus a lot leftover. The canvas was durable and it comes with hooks to hang it. This was a lot of fun and took way more time than I thought it would (around 8 hours!) but it was worth it!
