This was exactly what I wanted! This was a picture I took in York, England and I’m so happy I could paint this moment.
Cons – the light green, orange, and red were not as thick as I’d hoped. You could see the numbers under several layers of paint. I ended up globbing a lot of paint over the number, which made a weird texture. Also, use your own brushes if possible (theirs are a little cheap).
Pro – the rest of the paint is fantastic. The canvas came already on the frame so it wasn’t rolled or folded. And I did not have to attach to the frame. There was more than enough paint (DO NOT WATER DOWN). Came out like an impressionist painting.
I painted on an easel, which saved my back from working on a table top.
Don’t choose an image that has a lot of detail. It’ll be harder to paint with all the colors, and these images become naturally blurred as paintings. Not a lot of definition.

I ordered three of these, and absolutely love every single one of them. The company was great and responsive, gave me a preview before sending them, and even helped resolve a shipping issue. The actual paintings were not the easiest to do, hence all the detail on them. I took my time and they turned out exactly like the photo I sent and the preview they gave me. The colors were perfect, and there was more than enough paint (I had doubts about this but I had plenty leftover). I will absolutely buy more of these on the future and cannot wait to be able to do more. Fyi I coated one of the paintings with resin so it is much more shiny than the others.

I personally loveddd my painting. I made it for Mother’s Day and it turned out awesome. I picked my dog that passed a couple months ago to paint . It arrived in a week. It’s took me about 10 hours to finish’s one one sitting. Some tips start with lighter colors and big areas, if you make a mistake blot with damp paper towel let dry and paint over it, paint over the lines. The brushes aren’t the best quality but definitely does the job. There is more than enough paint and it’s a little thick. Overall fun thing to for quarantine .

This is so fun. It is my first paint by number, I am really enjoying it. The directions aren’t the clearest, but you don’t really need them as I painted by number as a child. The picture is really beautiful and coming out quite nicely. I did buy an extra set of brushes as the small spaces are very numerous and the small brush got floppy easily. I needed precision.

At first glance when I opened the canvass, it looked a bit formidable because it seemed like there were a lot of details. But when I’ve had to think about it, I know it’d be simple enough since the paints were numbered. This is my first DIY paint by numbers oil painting and hopefully not my last. I’m happy that this is oil and not acrylic since I’ve always wanted to try oil. I’m impressed by the detail in the canvass and the package seems like it has everything. I’m looking forward to doing this project by myself during some downtime. I am happy that the size is bigger than a standard 8″ X 11.5″ or 11″ X 17″. It’s a decent size at 23″ X 18.5″ frame. Hope that I have enough paint so I can’t comment yet re. the amount of paint. I feel like I got a great value for my money.

Pros: a wide variety of colors, lighly colored on the canvas to make it easier to find, and includes brushes
Cons: the colors are slightly off. (He doesn’t look like an Oompa Loompa in real life) and some colors are thin so they don’t cover the numbers well
Tips I learned the hard way:
-Only do one color at a time and finish that color. They easily dry out after opening.
-use lighter colors first to get the hang of it, and paint the most important parts first (I always get sloppier toward the end and want to finish)
-don’t paint inside the lines, paint OVER the lines so they don’t show in the end
-if you’re serious about precision, buy your own brushes. I did this all with what was provided but they are cheap. By the end it is destroyed and not good at fine details. (I also only used the small brush for everything except the big red parts)
-if you mess up, blot it with a paper towel once to get excess off, let dry, and paint over it later with the right color

A 7 year old painted the Monkey and a 9 year old painted the Tiger. The Tiger was definitely harder and required more patience. We almost ran out of green paint for the monkey but we did make it. There was plenty of paint for all the other colors. There was no paint mixing needed. Each painting came with 2 paintbrushes, both with relatively small tips. We ended up using our own paintbrushes. The directions were in awkward English, as others have mentioned, but this type of painting project doesn’t require much in the way of directions. The paintings each came with 2 hangers and screws. The hanging hardware for the Tiger painting was bigger than the hardware for the monkey. Both kids really enjoyed the painting and want to do more at some point
