The picture shows staples as part of the item, but there were no directions as to what to do with them. The directions are pretty straightforward and use pictures, however they did not say there where to put the extra sticky strip on each piece of wood. (I should have figured it out by reading the instructions more than once). I didn’t need them, so for me it didn’t matter. I would totally recommend this product. Much cheaper than getting it done by someone else. It was simple to do and looks great and sturdy!

Solid product for the price and ease of assembly. I assembled it in less than 10 minutes for my 36 x 48 ish canvas painting. Really happy with it so far though it has only been a few days. Only caveat I had was that the glue and covering was missing or came off on the corner of one of the pieces when I opened the product, but as it is then matched to the corner of another piece, it was not an issue for assembly. Overly, highly recommend.

In short, YES! BUY THIS KIT! If there has ever been a year for economical (homemade) Christmas gifts, this is the year. I painted a few pieces for such gifts but just couldn’t justify the extremely high cost of having each of them professionally stretched and framed. Found this kit and bought one to try out. Honestly, I was a bit skeptical and nervous after reading some of the negative reviews, but wow! It was so easy!! As a note, the canvas I decided to frame first was a bit of an odd measurement, and I knew I needed to order a size slightly under the size of the full canvas (16×20) in order to have enough wraparound. (Super important detail.) Thankfully, this kit comes in 14×18, which I ordered. I also knew I had to very carefully place my canvas so as not to cut off an important part of the edge. It was surprisingly easier than I thought. Follow the instructions very carefully, and it is so easy to get an amazing finished piece. Took me less than 10 minutes, and it was my first time ever doing this. Not many steps, no extra tools required (other than a pencil and a pair of scissors or an exacto knife), which is a huge plus. I am posting a photo of the super crisp and neat edge seen on each of the 4 corners and also of the back (I only had to trim off a little excess canvas from two edges due to having to place the bars slightly off center to the canvas – again, so as to not cut off one detailed edge). Let me just say, after placing the bars, I was worried that I was going to have a floppy canvas, but after rolling the bars and placing the metal “staples†in place, it was perfectly tight and crisp, with amazingly perfect corners. If you have read this far, I am about to order 3 more kits, and I will NEVER go to a professional again. This product is simply AWESOME!! And so many sizes!!

I love this canvas stretcher kit. It is so easy to use and installs perfectly every time. I use it for my paint by numbers painting and the installation is perfect every single time. I iron my canvas before painting to remove wrinkles. My painting sizes are 16 x 20 inches and the canvas border is not sufficient to properly fit the 16×20 frame. I contacted the vendor for a custom frame 14×18 and it is the perfect fit for my artwork. Highly recommend this product and the vendor is awesome!

Harder than I thought,The picture looks great! Only issues I had were the brushes weren’t small enough to get to the thin hair lines without extreme concentration so I recommend buying your own. I also didn’t think the dress color they sent (pale brown) was correct so I bought pink myself. Took me almost 2 hours per color on most of them

Venice,I ordered this paint by numbers kit as physical therapy after repair of brain aneurysms left me with some nerve damage to my dominant arm and hand. The fine hand work required for this piece has help to decrease the numbness and pins + needles sensations, and improved functionality.
It was an added bonus for me to end up with a beautiful painting. I have also ordered a custom kit from one of my own photos.

The canvas has been a little to moderately wrinkled and the colors come out a little to dark.

The only drawback I have to this is there is no picture on the box or anywhere else, to show you what your finished picture should look like. That’s just weird to me. This is a gift, so my niece would have no way of knowing what she is painting or what it should look like along the way. I had to print a copy on my color printer at work to place inside the box.

Bought this picture a couple of weeks ago and can’t stop painting it. Wish i had more time for it though. I wanted to try paint by numbers for awhile, but couldn’t find the picture I liked. When I saw this one I finally made my decision.
I like that it has not too many colors, but a bit of small detailes, not too difficult and not too simple. It really is a great experience, especially with everyting that is going on now, helps to take my mind off things. After i’ve finished i am going to hang it in my bedroom. But I think it’ll look wonderful in any room though.

I do just use the smallest little brush, and use the lid of the paint pit to mix water with the paint. Get the right consistency!

I did some tweaking to the hair and did it myself with the colors I thought fit best, and texture I wanted, but I recommend just following the guidelines cause it would’ve been a whole lot easier for me if I just followed the numbers with the hair😂

I’ve used a number of these on canvas art prints for work. They’re easy to assemble, work as advertised, but we occasionally get a slightly curved rail, or one some of the double-sided tape has dried out. The curved rails haven’t been a serious issue, as the curvature is usually minor (an 1/8″ of bow over a 24″ rail isn’t noticeable unless you’re looking at it against the layout lines), and we always staple down the backs of the prints as part of the process, so we only need the tape to hold for the setup.

In the hunt for finding new quarantine hobbies, I’ve discovered that people are resorting to adult versions of childhood activities – adult coloring books, oil painting by numbers, what’s next? I decided to jump on that bandwagon and take on one of my favorite paintings. I love art, but lack any type of drawing or painting skill whatsoever, so being able to create something even remotely resembling the original is exciting for me. “Starry Night Over the Rhone†isn’t as popular as Van Gogh’s “Starry Nightâ€, so options for this DIY painting were limited. One that I saw had negative reviews, and the other one showed blues that were darker in hue than I liked, so I went with this. I made the right choice! The paint is a good thick consistency where you can cover up mistakes if (when) you accidentally paint in the wrong spot. The kit has everything needed and I appreciate not needing to get extra supplies. The instructions are clear and comes with pictures and tips on how or get the best results, which is awesome. It’s been relaxing and enjoyable working on a little bit of this every day. One con is that the canvas was folded in the package and there are fold lines – I’m hoping these will be less apparent as time goes on and when paint is covering the entire surface. The spaces are so small due to the nature of this painting, so the numbers are also small – not a problem for me, but may be harder for older eyes. My mom has contributed to these painting efforts and she uses a magnifying glass without problem. I’m also all about packaging, and this product’s packaging is abysmal – it came in something that resembled a small black trash bag. Good thing this purchase was for my own entertainment and not a gift, otherwise it’s not presentable – so keep that in mind if you’re buying for someone else!
