I have been been building model wind-jammer model ships since I retired in 2012 and have been getting fancier and fancier model ships to build. The painting that is required on these ships has to be very precise and I just couldn’t find a brush small enough to get into some of the areas that needed to be painted. Finally I found one in this kit and it has become my “right-hand” when it comes to the painting of my latest ship. The fit is comfortable, clean-up is no problem, and the bristles hold even more paint than I thought possible even for such a small brush. I also love the bag and cylinder they arrived in. I think you made a customer for life (or as long as I’m able to keep making model ships).

I bought these for my Grandson. We paint Bolt Action & 40k miniatures together and his old brushes were getting worn and frayed. Haven’t used them much yet (no rating for durability) but my initial impression is they are a very good value for the $$ spent. Shipping was prompt; they arrived sooner than expected. My Grandson especially liked the packaging in the plastic tube and cloth bag. All inexpensive brushes wear out with use but assuming these don’t fall apart with limited use I will order them again when this batch is done.

Loved it. The directions were clear and it was easy to follow. It’s a really great activity to do and I’ve really enjoyed doing it.
Tips:
1. start with the big areas and work in the intricate parts
2. The map is your friend
3. The light colors are going to need a lot of coats of paint so take your time with those area.
4. The painting calls for black pain in the gray shaded areas. I didn’t have black paint in mine so that is just something to think about.
5. When I did it I did it in sections and that made it easier to organize the painting.

Bought this for a craft project. I mismeasured the size I needed, and so had to cut about 1/2†off the sides. Kit still went together flawlessly. Extremely tight canvas once put together. I used some glue to keep corner supports in place, and in addition stapled the canvas to the wood frame.

I finished and the colors are way off from what they are supposed to be. (first picture is original) And I had to make an orange for myself to use as I ran out because the canvas kept bleeding thru on that specific color provided. Canvas bled thru bout half the colors. Still a nice picture but the colors bother me as I know what they’re supposed to be. But the quality of canvas and speed of shipping give it a higher review would have been a 3 if not for that

This was perfect for a paint by number set that I started painting with the included brushes, but quickly realized that they weren’t fine enough for the detail and tiny nooks and crannies I’d have to paint.
These brushes are good quality, and feel nice in the hand. Definitely less cramping when I paint for a long period of time.
