This product is definitely worth the money. It’s better than having to pay a store to stretch out your canvas. I use this for my Paint by Numbers projects. So my only problem is that I have to flip my canvas over to stretch it. I am unable to see the pattern on the other side. And as much as I try to keep it straight my canvas came out crooked. I guess the only way to fix this I have to measure the canvas, cut out to make sure it’s a perfect rectangle. So that when I flip the canvas over, I can confidently place the wood perfectly without the pattern being crooked (just a helpful tip for my fellow Paint by Numbers peeps).

This will make a very beautiful painting when it’s done. The canvas is folded so you may want to do something about flattening or stretching it on a frame before you start. Stretching onto a frame is kind of necessary to start with if you wish to paint on an easel instead of a flat table but you can do that too then frame. There is an ample amount of paint to complete the project and the instructions on the back of the box are fairly easy to understand also.

Kandinsky Early Period,This particular kit which is the only one I’ve done so far has been amazing. I love Kandinsky and was overjoyed to see the kit of his Munich Houses. I’ve never had so much fun at an easel. If you have any artistic talent at all you can find a paint by numbers kit for you. In picking an early abstract painting it’s been easy for me to make it my own by checking the number, looking at a copy of the painting and basically ignoring the lines (mostly) and going for the intent of the original artist. A lot of my friends think I’ve made it up and boy are they surprised when they hear it’s Paint By Numbers. This is not you kiddie paint by numbers kit from your childhood. It’s very challenging for adults and I can’t wait to finally complete this one, frame it, hang it, and start on another. I’m including my progress so far and I’ll send another photo with myself in it when I’m through.

The paint is sufficient but it is not easy to open. For each painting there are three brushes and felt that they were not enough, so I took two draw’s brushes use them at same time. In addtition, some of the numbers are missing, I have to figure out what color it is. From a distance, the effect is good.

A 7 year old painted the Monkey and a 9 year old painted the Tiger. The Tiger was definitely harder and required more patience. We almost ran out of green paint for the monkey but we did make it. There was plenty of paint for all the other colors. There was no paint mixing needed. Each painting came with 2 paintbrushes, both with relatively small tips. We ended up using our own paintbrushes. The directions were in awkward English, as others have mentioned, but this type of painting project doesn’t require much in the way of directions. The paintings each came with 2 hangers and screws. The hanging hardware for the Tiger painting was bigger than the hardware for the monkey. Both kids really enjoyed the painting and want to do more at some point
