Recently I had purchased five pieces of canvas artwork of varying sizes from the internet, knowing I was going to have to DIY up a canvas frame solution for each of them. I’m here to tell you that I *might* have been able to do it without these frame kits, but it would’ve been a lot more challenging, AND a lot more expensive! Simple instructions, simple pieces, and after spending a couple hours… I ended up with 5 absolutely gorgeous pieces of artwork with minimal work and miniscule money invested. (Trust me, if you’ve ever had to have something professionally framed, you know how expensive it can get!) My only complaint (and it’s relatively minor) is that each kit comes with metal “brackets” to pin down the edges of your canvas to the frame. In every case, the metal brackets were seemingly frozen to each other and I couldn’t separate them from one another — so they were basically useless. I ended up using a staple gun I had on hand to pin down each edge, and it worked beautifully. If I end up with canvasses in the future, there’s no question I’ll pick up more of these. ALSO… keep in mind that no instructions are included with the package itself, so you’ll want to return to the Amazon page and print your instructions from there. The steps are super-simple.

I say this because I’ve gone on to do 2 more PBN and this one was definitely more on the “detailed†side. That being said, it’s definitely doable and I have learned that patience is important no matter which image you choose!

Valentine’s Gift!,I ordered two custom kits, one for my daughter and one for myself. The kits arrived in time for the Christmas holiday. I expected to run out of paint for each color. I am only about half done with my painting, but there is plenty of paint for each color. The quality of the brushes is fine. 3 brushes are included for varying sized areas. The paint dries quickly so you can roll up your work to store until you can work on it again. I have absolutely no artistic talent, but this painting is going to be a good rendition of the photo I sent. I am so pleased with the quality and the customer service. This painting requires lot of patience and passion to do but it is soo beautiful. I was so proud of myself as this was my second time to paint by numbers for adults. The numbers in canvas sometimes is confusing because some of the lines are small and light. I have to refer to the small photo of the finished painting to double check if I am painting the right shade.
But overall, it is worth the purchase. It eased my covid anxiety and shelter in place. I finished painting in 2-3 weeks. It was a perfect excuse to just sit, listen to music and free your mind while painting.
The colors are great, the brushes are good, and I love that it has stand and it is framed! The quality is awesome and superb!

I am so excited! I ordered this from another vendor and it never came. I ordered from Texture of Dreams and it was here in just over a week! A WEEK!!! OH MY GOSH! I will update this when I paint it but just to give you the opening…When I opened this I was totally surprised. The canvas is already on the frame. The paints are numbered and perfectly beautiful. The canvas is not only printed with the numbers but also with the colors printed on the canvas. There is a page with the picture and the colors also written there so I can reference it as I go along. There is a picture of what the painting should look like, if I follow directions, when I am done. Lastly it was all packaged perfectly so even if it was man handled it would remain in excellent condition. The only thing I will not use from the kit is the brushes. They are a little cheap but I knew that going into this. Can’t wait to paint it. Will update and post pictures when it is done.

My business is mainly fine-art canvases that I sell as gallery wraps. For years I have been using another brand of bars that, for small sizes, are only 3/8†thick and tend to warp. I have been evaluating these to replace the others, though they are more costly, because bars are more massive and never to warp. However there are flaws in these too. First, the grooves that accept the square “staples†are simply too shallow, so that when the “staples†that connect the corners stretch outward they puncture the canvas on the sides. That is totally unworkable. So, I throw away those “staples†and simply staple the corners together (two staples at first and another two over the canvas when it is wrapped back). This works nicely, even better than the other brand. I love it. The second problem is there is poor qualilty control of the length of these bars. I have seen as much as 3/16†(almost 1/4â€) errors in length. Maybe the manufatgurer thinks this is not a problem because they expect painters to assemble blank canvases and then paint on them. But, I go to great pains to print images that come out to exact sizes in inches at the fold lines, beyond which a reflection of the edge of the image is printed for the wrapped sides. If that line does not fall exactly on the edge of a bar, either it shows on the face or on the side. Not good. So, with these bars that I love, I must first select the bars, measure them and then crop my images precisely to fit those somewhat off dimensions. Then extend the images for wrapping and finally print an image to fit the particular bars I am using. Whether I can reprint an image depends on how lucky I am that the next set of bars will match. Finally, figure on stapling your canvas on the back. The adhesive on the back is wonderful for making tghe canvas lie flat, but without staples will not hold the canvas down over time. With staples, it’s very nice.

I have never framed a piece of canvas art before and bought this frame basically because it had such amazing reviews. I have to say, I am astounded at how simple it was to get an incredible finished product. If you follow the instructions, letter-for-letter, one step at a time, and heed! the warning that the double-stick tape they use is the real deal, super strong stuff, you will be pleased as well. In fact, it was such a great experience, its encouraged me to purchase more loose canvas art, and I’ll be ordering another frame soon.

They come w/ a “legend” or a “paper copy” w/ the numbers incase you color over a number and need to figure out your mistake. WELL GUESS WHAT I DID! Better than expected,Such a great paint by number! Granted, the picture took almost 3 months to get to me, so be aware that shipping times are VERY long right now, but it was worth the wait. The painting ended up almost exactly like the picture and it’s a very nice, thin canvas material instead of paper. Honestly, much better than I expected from a random Facebook ad. The only thing I would comment on is that the greenish color for mine was a little hard to blend, so that portion of the water looks a little off, but overall, it doesn’t ruin the picture.

 I bought this Frank S. Burton DIY painting kit to give me a productive activity that doesn’t involve being my phone. The kit comes with a large canvas imprinted with a black outline image of an elephant. Each area to be painted is marked with a number. That number corresponds to a numbered paint pot of a specific color. There are 3 brushes — 1 standard flat brush, 1 ultra find point, and 1 fine point. Before painting, get a small cup of water for cleaning the brushes and some paper towels. There are 4 sets of paint pots of multiple colors. The paint is water based, yet thick and quick drying. It best to close a pot immediately after use, so the paint doesn’t dry out.
There is also a paper version of the image to reference when matching the number of an area to the corresponding numbered paint pot. It’s best to start at the top of the canvas and paint from top to bottom. This elephant image is quite complex, so I plan to paint it slowly. Clean up is easy because I just use soap and water to clean my hands and the brushes.
This is a very affordable kit for gifting yourself or someone. After you’re finished, you have an art piece to frame and hang. It’s relaxing; plus it develops eye hand coordination and exercises the brain!

The canvas is very thick, I ironed the creases on the back of the canvas with an iron, then painted, and then rolled them up after drying, and then framed them.
