Having fun,My greatest complaint is that you are showing a photograph of a still life. This is not the same as the painting that will come from this kit. Why do you not post on your website an actual finished version of the painting? In my case, there is no handle on the white vase. The vase looks a lot different (not shiny) from the photo on your site. The fruits (apples and pears) are not as lifelike as the photo. (Oddly, the photo posted by another reviewer does have a handle on the vase and the coloration on the vase is different!) I’m not saying that my finished painting is not pleasant, but you are not showing a representative picture of what we are buying, and I think that is very wrong.

This worked great! I ended up just putting the frame together after peeling off the bottom of each bar (instruction #2). The sticky tape wraps around the ends of each bar, so they stuck together to hold the frame in place.
I centered the picture as best I could (picture facing me) and folded the edges of the picture on the sticky parts along the length of the frame.
I tried following the instructions, but I kept messing up the picture (too far left, too far right, etc. because you needed to have the picture facing the floor). This way I could see where I was placing the picture and just fold the edges onto the sticky tape.
I didn’t cut anything either – I just tucked the corners in and put a little piece of tape to hold them down. I didn’t have enough canvas to peel the sticky tape along the back side of the frame (instruction #5) so I left them on.
I used two command strips to hang it on my wall – I’ll be ordering more!

I do a fair bit of canvas painting although got these for miniatures. They are great for the price and I LOVE the handles. So much easier to work with than typical brushes. The packaging was really nice but seemed a bit overkill.

I use these for a paint-by-numbers on canvas and these work great for the small spaces. Assuming the paint isnt terrible quality, these brushes make nice clean strokes on the canvas.

So when you think outside of the box EVERYONE WINS! I ordered these so we could all have our own paintings and enjoy time together as a family and its worked out really well. Who Knew!!! They come w/ a “legend” or a “paper copy” w/ the numbers incase you color over a number and need to figure out your mistake. WELL GUESS WHAT I DID! I took that opportunity to create myself a side project and I opted to use the “paper copy” to color w/ color pencils and boy oh boy have I enjoyed myself! My daughter is painting hers and I tracked my journey w/ the legend and using color pencils – at some point I’ll laminate them and great a wall collage or something!

This was exactly what I wanted! This was a picture I took in York, England and I’m so happy I could paint this moment.
Cons – the light green, orange, and red were not as thick as I’d hoped. You could see the numbers under several layers of paint. I ended up globbing a lot of paint over the number, which made a weird texture. Also, use your own brushes if possible (theirs are a little cheap).
Pro – the rest of the paint is fantastic. The canvas came already on the frame so it wasn’t rolled or folded. And I did not have to attach to the frame. There was more than enough paint (DO NOT WATER DOWN). Came out like an impressionist painting.
I painted on an easel, which saved my back from working on a table top.
Don’t choose an image that has a lot of detail. It’ll be harder to paint with all the colors, and these images become naturally blurred as paintings. Not a lot of definition.

My paint by numbers surprise,The last paint by numbers I completed was about 6 years ago. My, times they are a changing. The last one was an 8 x 10 with about 10 colors. The 16 x 20 with 21 paints was fantastic. I was able to unwind and forget about life. I got so interested and curious regarding the finished painting that I found myself working on it about 5 times everyday.

I finished and the colors are way off from what they are supposed to be. (first picture is original) And I had to make an orange for myself to use as I ran out because the canvas kept bleeding thru on that specific color provided. Canvas bled thru bout half the colors. Still a nice picture but the colors bother me as I know what they’re supposed to be. But the quality of canvas and speed of shipping give it a higher review would have been a 3 if not for that

At first glance when I opened the canvass, it looked a bit formidable because it seemed like there were a lot of details. But when I’ve had to think about it, I know it’d be simple enough since the paints were numbered. This is my first DIY paint by numbers oil painting and hopefully not my last. I’m happy that this is oil and not acrylic since I’ve always wanted to try oil. I’m impressed by the detail in the canvass and the package seems like it has everything. I’m looking forward to doing this project by myself during some downtime. I am happy that the size is bigger than a standard 8″ X 11.5″ or 11″ X 17″. It’s a decent size at 23″ X 18.5″ frame. I’ve never been good at crafting or anything artsy….I mean I got a C in painting class in high school. But with quarantine and the winter approaching here in the PNW I wanted to do something different to pass the time. I figured this kit is almost fool-proof for people like me who can barely draw a stick figure and I was right!
I’m about a 1/4 of the way through and it’s already looking awesome. The canvas is nice and sturdy, the paint goes on very nicely and it’s just so relaxing to sit down after work for a bit and pick a number and start attacking the sections. Of course I still have trouble staying in the lines but it doesn’t really matter because you still get the overall painting to work. I can’t wait to finish this up. I plan on framing it or possibly putting it on a wood frame.
