This was so easy to assemble and make a canvas look professional. I used it to frame a paint by number canvas. Like other reviewers complained the staples are stuck together – I used a flat head screw driver to break them apart (butter knife or any flat object would work) which wasn’t a big deal and far from “defectiveâ€.

This was the first paint by numbers I have ever purchased – for my wife. We were nervous because we’ve heard a lot of horror stories about the paint coming dry or the picture being too small, however, this one has blown our expectations. The fabric is unique and the paints came in perfect condition, the brushes are perfect for the detail you need to apply. This does take a while, my wife spent 3+ hours and only has the top left hand corner done but there are a lot of small areas and different color paints close together but it looks really good. Highly recommend this product and are impressed with the quality!
TIP: make sure to double coat the white as the number slightly pops through with 1 coat, also make sure to wait a few minutes between colors to make sure they are dry and don’t smear into other colors. My only complaint is that I don’t have paper weights or anything to clip it too and it came rolled up, I have yet to get it to lay flat on my table but when you do sections at a time it isn’t a huge deal and we plan to frame it later anyway!

This is an impressionist type painting, so you have to step back to see it clearly. I like to paint these for stress relief and this one did a great job of that. It turned out so pretty that my friends tell me they like it best. Colorful and fun to look at, pretty and romantic, and fun to paint. Only thing I would have done differently is buy it already on a wooden frame because I’ve discovered that where I live, it’s super expensive to have it framed. I’ve been trying to figure out how to display it. If you have suggestions, please comment. Thanks!

Just received my package today! I opened it up and snapped a picture but haven’t got to start on it yet.
I highly recommend, comes with a big canvas, a sheet of paper both with your picture, labeled paint and 2 brushes.

I haven’t done a paint-by-number set since I was a kid, but I’ve been craving art activities since I can’t do much outside the house due to covid quarantining. I looked at a few options before choosing this one. I’ve just started to paint this, but here’s what I like so far:
* It comes with real canvas, not paper, marked with delineated areas that have numbers corresponding to the 19 paint colors.
* I’d say it’s good for beginners (with patience) to intermediate level painters because there are many (19) different colors, but the spaces aren’t extremely small like some other painting kits.
* It comes with 3 different size of brushes and there are protective tips around the brush heads so they arrived in good condition.
* There’s a nice border of about 1.5″ around the edge of the canvas so you can easily clip it to a board as you’re painting, then frame it.
* It comes with two little hanging hooks, although I’m not sure how I’d use them.
* I like the subtle range of paint color variations, especially the blues and neutrals ranging from light tan to brown.
* I was worried at first that there would be a crease in the painting since the canvas comes folded into fourths, but it’s not a hard crease. Based on my experience, I’d recommend just flattening the unfolded canvas under a few heavy books before you start painting.
* It comes with a small visual guide of what the finished painting should look like.

Very challenging, tiny bits to paint, it’s so fun, painting through it all. Comes folded in small package so a warm iron on back with a little water spray will take creases out. Stretch paint.. I keep water near for keeping brushes clean and to keep paint very slightly thinned. Check paint pod covers to make sure they are on tight.

Monet Poppy Fields,I have thoroughly enjoyed my pandemic time with PBN. This one was particularly enjoyable. BUT the color guide has me very confused with the sky. I notice the finished rendition indicates a buff sky in the upper left while mine a medium blue. Not pleased with a green sky? Am trying to blend for a more realistic look. Anyone else confounded with this? The acrylic paints makes it easy to change colors if you wish. As you can see I’m not quite finished. Nearly there.

I love paint by number kits! I used to think they were just for kids but these can be so relaxing in these crazy times. This one looks great and I love that it came with it’s own frame (although figuring out how to put it together can be a bit challenging as there were no instructions for it). There’s plenty of paint and I am looking forward to hours of fun. I do wish the canvas was a bit bigger so I can see the numbers clearer but I usually take a few photos of the canvas with my phone before I start so I can zoom in on numbers and on the rare occasion I mess up I can go back and see where I went wrong. Also at the end if you need to touch up a color you know exactly which color to use!
I would love to see the ‘canvas’ rolled up completely in the future as it helps eliminate creases and bends in the edges of the canvas. Right now I have to flatten out the creases and the bent edges before I start painting.
I am excited to try the beautiful lighthouse scene!

Ordered this for my wife as a gift for her as she likes to paint. It’s 16×20 in size, comes with acrylic paint and three brushes. Color is natural to dry, so make sure you close the lid when not in use. It’s a high fun time pass, and the numbers are printed, so it makes it easier to paint. Overall it looks sleek, and Now as the next steps need to find a way to get it framed.

 I bought this Frank S. Burton DIY painting kit to give me a productive activity that doesn’t involve being my phone. The kit comes with a large canvas imprinted with a black outline image of an elephant. Each area to be painted is marked with a number. That number corresponds to a numbered paint pot of a specific color. There are 3 brushes — 1 standard flat brush, 1 ultra find point, and 1 fine point. Before painting, get a small cup of water for cleaning the brushes and some paper towels. There are 4 sets of paint pots of multiple colors. The paint is water based, yet thick and quick drying. It best to close a pot immediately after use, so the paint doesn’t dry out.
There is also a paper version of the image to reference when matching the number of an area to the corresponding numbered paint pot. It’s best to start at the top of the canvas and paint from top to bottom. This elephant image is quite complex, so I plan to paint it slowly. Clean up is easy because I just use soap and water to clean my hands and the brushes.
This is a very affordable kit for gifting yourself or someone. After you’re finished, you have an art piece to frame and hang. It’s relaxing; plus it develops eye hand coordination and exercises the brain!
