Fun painting activity!,I love how this takes me back to my childhood days of painting by numbers. The beautiful images and detailed painting areas provides hours of enjoyment. For me, the only downside is that there are many tiny areas to paint and even the smallest brush included frays and isn’t good enough to get to those small areas.

It really takes my active mind off things,I bought this one to paint for my mom. She is the cat fan. I really enjoyed doing it as the spaces were never monopolized by one color which can make a paint by number activity pretty boring. I changed the colors of the eyes to make them really pop because the paint that was included wasn’t as bright as what the original picture had shown but overall I was happy with the quality of the paints and brushes that were included. The paint was mixed well and went on the canvas smoothly.

Love the canvas.,First of all, I am very happy I purchased this paint by numbers picture. The canvas was amazing to paint on, the numbers were easy to read and the colors are wonderful. It is beautiful hanging on my wall. From across the room, you can’t tell it’s a paint by numbers picture. That’s being said, I received no instructions with my set. I did receive a very small picture of what i ordered. I used my own brushes because the three that came with it weren’t so great. I also had to go back and paint beyond the borders for it to fill out the 16†x 20†frame I found to put it in. I do think it was a fair value compared to other paint by numbers sets. Also it took almost two weeks to receive it.

I am only about 1/4 of the way through painting the Giraffe, but already I am in love. We bought this one along with the Lion and Elephant, all frameless, to go in our sons room. I am so excited to see how they look on the wall!
TIP: The canvas comes folded and in a package with the paints and brushes. As soon as ours came in the mail, we took the canvases’ out of the packages, unfolded them, smoothed them flat slightly by hand, then rolled them together into a tube, and finally secured the tube with a rubber band. When we were finally at a place where we could start on them, just being in the tube together for a couple of weeks helped get most of the creases out immensely. For good measure though, we ironed them. We put the canvases pattern side down between two towels, sprayed the back of the canvas lightly with water, and started on the lowest setting on our iron. We ended up having to turn it up to around medium heat to see any real change, but that was enough to flatten out the canvases nicely. Then, we bought some 20×20 squares of cheap (like $2 ea.) non-wood type wood boards (the same stuff as clipboards kind of) at Lowes, and that’s what we use to paint on. We just use binder clips to hold it in place. It works beautifully!

Gave it 4 out of 5 stars just because it doesn’t come with a separate cheat sheet like some others do so you will know what numbers go where if you accidentally cover them with paint (which happens a lot with this picture) some of the number parts are really small. Over all I’m happy with the end result and enjoyed painting it! The paint lasted and I still had some left over.

Artistic Woman,This was my second paint by number kit. I purchased this for the benefit of gaining skill in painting by numbers. The quality of the product was excellent. The paints were very thick and in hindsight I should have diluted each of them with water prior to use, thus not making the colors so dark on my first application. Halfway through the project I decided to use my own colors–big mistake. I should have completed the painting with paint supplied and applied my own color variations at the end. Needless to say, i ruined the picture and discarded it. I since purchased Four Seasons and it came out beter than I planned. I personally prefer a matte finish for my paintings. Overall I was completely satisfied with the product but unhappy with how I approached the project. This gave me countless hours of enjoyment painting. My plans are to have a custom print done to paint.

Very cool idea and works quite well. We had large vinyl signs of the kids’ images and could cut relatively to size so that was extra bonus for measurements. The only thing that prevents a 5 star rating is that the metal staple “stays” are welded together and to separate them requires an act of Congress (or a vice, plyers, screwdriver, etc) which is silly for something that is provided for easy no-tool use. Also, if you poster is “coated” or vinyl the adhesive on the back will not stick for long so help it out with some electricians tape or home-style stapler. Works great.

This was the first paint by numbers I have ever purchased – for my wife. We were nervous because we’ve heard a lot of horror stories about the paint coming dry or the picture being too small, however, this one has blown our expectations. The fabric is unique and the paints came in perfect condition, the brushes are perfect for the detail you need to apply. This does take a while, my wife spent 3+ hours and only has the top left hand corner done but there are a lot of small areas and different color paints close together but it looks really good. Highly recommend this product and are impressed with the quality!
TIP: make sure to double coat the white as the number slightly pops through with 1 coat, also make sure to wait a few minutes between colors to make sure they are dry and don’t smear into other colors. My only complaint is that I don’t have paper weights or anything to clip it too and it came rolled up, I have yet to get it to lay flat on my table but when you do sections at a time it isn’t a huge deal and we plan to frame it later anyway!

I got my order in right under the wire and this arrived just as quarantine was beginning in my state. I noticed it listed as unavailable just a couple of days later, so I must have gotten really lucky. Unbelievably fast turn around, ordered on 3/18, delivered on 3/26. The kit even included extra paint for colors that were used more often! I do wish the paint were a little thicker, I have to do multiple coats when using some colors, but for the price, I really couldn’t expect much better. I don’t know if I’ll ever get this thing done, there are so many details in the picture I chose!

This Paint By Number was super fun and satisfying. I love that the canvas is on a frame with the hook available so your picture is ready to hang. I had plenty of clearly labeled paint, the two different size paint brushes were just right, and the included “map” with all the numbers and an included picture of my end result made it easy to problem solve. I felt like a real artist when I stood back and examined my work. I do love my dogs and the finished painting makes me absolutely giddy with happiness. The seller is very responsive to any questions or concerns. The response time was less than a day. The attached pictures are of the original photo, and the finished 16 x 20 painting. I’ve never done this before and I was not rushing. It took me 20-30 hours to complete. I did purchase an inexpensive art easel to make the painting process easier.

this was the first time i’ve done a paint by numbers since i was a kid – but just like coloring books and connect-the-dots, they’re back on the scene for adults, and i decided to try it. i started with this easy one – it’s just a bunch of blobs and it’s totally okay if you go outside of the lines and mess up your perfect shapes! i really enjoyed watching it come together. tip: start with the light colors, so you’re layering the darker edges over the white colors to look more natural.

I’ve used a number of these on canvas art prints for work. They’re easy to assemble, work as advertised, but we occasionally get a slightly curved rail, or one some of the double-sided tape has dried out. The curved rails haven’t been a serious issue, as the curvature is usually minor (an 1/8″ of bow over a 24″ rail isn’t noticeable unless you’re looking at it against the layout lines), and we always staple down the backs of the prints as part of the process, so we only need the tape to hold for the setup.

A 7 year old painted the Monkey and a 9 year old painted the Tiger. The Tiger was definitely harder and required more patience. We almost ran out of green paint for the monkey but we did make it. There was plenty of paint for all the other colors. There was no paint mixing needed. Each painting came with 2 paintbrushes, both with relatively small tips. We ended up using our own paintbrushes. The directions were in awkward English, as others have mentioned, but this type of painting project doesn’t require much in the way of directions. The paintings each came with 2 hangers and screws. The hanging hardware for the Tiger painting was bigger than the hardware for the monkey. Both kids really enjoyed the painting and want to do more at some point

The likeness was pretty darn close!. The only negative is there were many very tiny areas I had to paint. I would suggest using a photograph that does not have a lot of background detail.
